The Durham Cricket League shall play “Time cricket” with a maximum of 95 overs . 

Matches shall commence at 1:30pm . 

The side batting first can bat for a maximum of 50 overs .

Delays or interruptions reduce overs as per table under “Overs chart”

Game must start by 4:30 or abandoned

Bonus Points – added as follows :
Batting : 1 point for scoring 120,140,160,180,200 Maximum 5 (Within the first 45 overs)
Bowling : 1 point for 2 wickets taken – then for 4,6,8 and 10 Maximum 5

Winning Side : Batting first and declared within permitted overs awarded 1 point for each complete over not used (Maximum 5) , so in an un-interrupted game , 45 overs or less .

Winning Side : Batting second provided it has not won the toss will get 1 bonus point for each of its permitted overs not used (Maximum 5) .

Winning Side : Batting second : If the side batting first having won the toss is dismissed , the team batting second can still get full 5 “batting points” by not losing wickets – table for points awarded for this below – but for example :
If batting side is dismissed for 119 runs – team batting second can get the 5 points if they lose only 2 wickets . In this way the winning side is not punished for dismissing the opposition cheaply .

Appendix 3 Rule 9b

Batting points ready reckoner

Winning side
If the winning side has batted first and has ended it’s innings by declaration within it’s permitted overs, it will be awarded one bonus point to each completed over (to a max of 5) of it’s permitted overs that it has not used.  In this context ‘permitted overs’ means 50 overs or, in the case of an interrupted or delayed match, the reduced total of overs available to the side batting first, under rule 10.

If the side batting second wins, providing it has not won the toss, it will be awarded 1 bonus point for each completed over (to a max of 5) of it’s permitted overs that it has not used.

If a side batting first, having won the toss, is dismissed for a score of less than 200 then the opposition will earn bonus points by achieving the following:

Side batting first scores less than 120 and the side batting second wins by;

9 or 10 wkts 5 bonus points
7 or 8 wkts 4 bonus points
5 or 6 wkts 3 bonus points
3 or 4 wkts 2 bonus points
1 or 2 wkts 1 bonus point

Side batting first scores between 120 and 139 and the side batting second wins by;

7 or more wkts 4 bonus points
5 or 6 wkts 3 bonus points
3 or 4 wkts 2 bonus points
1 or 2 wkts 1 bonus point

Side batting first scores between 140 and 159 and the side batting second wins by;

5 or more wkts 3 bonus points
3 or 4 wkts 2 bonus points
1 or 2 wkts 1 bonus point

Side batting first scores between 160 and 179 and the side batting second wins by;

3 or more wkts 2 bonus points
1 or 2 wkts 1 bonus point

Side batting first scores between 180 and 199 and the side batting second wins by;

1 or more wkts 1 bonus point

N.B. Regardless of the number of bonus points accrued it will not be possible for a side’s total of points to exceed 30 points.
